The menu is a treasure trove of fusion delights. Diners rave about the signature soufflé—an enormous, perfectly risen masterpiece that's light, fluffy, and a must-try that often leaves guests awe-struck. Imagine a cloud-like texture with just the right touch of sweetness that makes sharing it almost impossible due to its tempting size and indulgence. Equally impressive are the Swiss chicken wings, glistening with a sweet glaze that boasts a delightful balance of savory and sugary notes, delivering a satisfying crunch with every bite.
Other standout dishes include the roasted pigeon and ox tongue, each prepared with meticulous care to preserve their rich flavors and tender textures. The food here is consistently well-crafted, capturing the essence of classic Western dishes while infusing them with a uniquely Hong Kong sensibility.

With lunch menus reasonably priced at around HK$100, including soup, bread, and a drink, Tai Ping Koon manages to offer great quality and memorable taste without compromising the experience. Though some patrons note prices as slightly on the higher side, the overall value—and the feeling of stepping back into a revered chapter of Hong Kong's culinary history—more than justify the spend.

A very great and local HK style western food dining experience so called 豉油西餐, interior is classic. Food quality is good. Service is 4/5. Generally good but the server is has a good sense of humour and you can feel a bit arrogant but in a good way. I think it is a good experience if you have never tried. A lunch menu is around $100 with soup, bread and drink

We had their signature soufflé and Swiss chicken wings at tea time. The gigantic soufflé was done perfectly! Recommend everyone to have that at least once. It is so big that two of us were not able to finish it. The Swiss chicken wings were so yummy and sweet! Will come back to try other dishes.

Classic Hong Kong style western fusion dishes. Everything was so delicious especially the souffle. The waitstaff looking after us, even helped to perfectly time when to place the order for the souffle so it arrives when we are nearly done with the mains. The ambience and service gave old school 70's vibes. Definitely worth visiting.

I really enjoy going to this restaurant. This is the second time I have visited this restaurant with my family the last time was over 10 years ago. I wasn't sure whether its still around after hearing a lot of the old favorites in the city have closed so happy to be able to try it again. The food quality and taste are very much as my first visit back then which is excellent. The signature dish of chicken wing in Swiss Sauce, Portuguese Style Chicken rice and Ox tongue are must for me. Souffle is also a must too even tho we haven't got room for it this time but have try it during my first visit. Atmosphere wise its more of the mid 20th century vibe, kind of take you back in time to its heydays in Hong Kong. The waiters are very much dress to that era and seems to me they have been with the restaurant a long time too. Very professional in their service. Prices are on the higher end but the quality is there and the uniqueness is worth it. If you want to try something that showcase the taste of old Hong Kong with fusion of east and west cooking I would highly recommend this place while its still around.

Nostalgia galore, with respect to famous Hong Kong cafe dishes. Luxurious surrounds, with classic taste and quality, romancing all the favorites. Pricy, but fun and the service is exceptional and very friendly.

I have known this place for more than 50 years. My father used to take us when we were little. I like the flagship restaurant in Central. They have afternoon tea at very reasonable price. The food is always good and the staff doesn’t change that much. The afternoon tea is the best deal in town. For two people you can choose 6 dishes, can be salty or sweet. I like the variety and the atmosphere is nice We know the staff. Many customers are similar to our age.
